my iPhone Podcasts
One of the best use of my iPhone is with Podcasts. Fortunately my 2009 Honda is iPod ready and now everytime I drive alone usually to/from the office, I always put on my favorite podcasts for my regular Technology news consumption. Here are my podcast list....
TWIT - This Week in Tech (with Leo Laporte, used to be of TechTV)
GeekBriefTV (Video podcast with Cali Lewis)
CNet's Buzz Out Loud (Natali del Conte...and two other guys)
Security Now (Steve Gibson aka Sprinrite w/ Leo Laporte)
A recent addition to my list which I have been putting off for a while now is diggnation (digg.com) and scam school, both from revision3.
And I also have some kids podcasts for the li'l ones which I transfer to their iPod Shuffle.
What's your podcasts?
Tidbits: speaking of scams, don't you know you can't make a folder name 'con' on any version of windows?

IT Risk management software (my Adventures into Risk management software)
Risk Management Softwares (part 3)
So I guess the most important part of this adventure are the actual softwares evaluated. So here goes...
SOFTWARES
Document Based/Templates - RiskMan Toolkit (xls) by Method123, Risk Management Plan Template (doc) by Carnegie University.
Project Open + Risk, OSRMT, RiskGuide (web-based only), Project administrator v5.1,RiskMatrix220,RiskSuite,pmtoolbox,dotProject -- Good Project Management Tools, but only with a little Risk assessment features/modules.
ITPG (IT Project Guide -Risk Management) -- Simple web-based PM tool w/ almost a decent Risk Management module.
PTA - Practical Threat Analysis -- Great Risk Assessment software with lots of features including reports (yea, lucky for you risk managers!) , Threat Builder, Libraries, etc. Free for students, Researchers and independent Security Analysts.
SMART (Security Management & Risk Tracking) -- Web-based. Strong Security Risk Tracking w/ compliance features.
Sobf Tool (Security Officer's Best Friend) -- SOMAP-Secuity Officer's Management & Analysis Project. An OpenSource IT Risk Management software.
CONCLUSION
Now if you're looking for a cost-effective risk management solution for your business, I recommend the last three softwares.
But if you're gonna make me pick the best one and treat me to a good dinner, well I'd say PTA. At first, it may seem like to focus only on security threats, but PTA has more features and more flexible than that. And, I just can't do justice to it in such a short amount of time. Maybe I'll make a separate blog for it soon.
