Windows Mobile 2003 SE for XDA II
For all you XDA II users out there, it's now upgradeable to Windows Mobile 2003 (WM2003SE). New features includes Landscape Views, Pocket IE enhancements, Transcriber update, support for higher resolutions & processor speeds. Get it here or the version 2 here.
Btw, XDA IIi should be out by end of December or January '05. Basically has a more powerful processor that also saves more on battery, Wi-Fi, 1.3 megapixel camera, etc.

DOTA (Defense of the Ancients) & WOW (World of Warcraft)
In case you haven't played it yet, DOTA (Defense of the Ancients) is a multiplayer custom map for Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne. It's really a fun mod.
I'm currently playing DOTA-AllStars. The objective is to defend the Ancients (Tree of Life for the Sentinels and Frozen Throne for the Scourge) from your base, and you can choose from a lot of heroes (up to 10 players), but you can't directly control the units of your base, just your hero. Then you can build up experience points and gold by killing enemy units and structures and you can buy lots of items to beef up your hero.
You can check out the latest map at http://www.dota-allstars.com
I'm playing this game until WOW (World of Warcraft) is available locally.....And sources tells me that PLDT & IPVG are the only ones left vying for the licensing of WOW here in the Philippines (I hope PLDT doesn't get it)....Now come to think of it....WOW Pilippines is already taken...by Gordon!..hehe

Photo Developer woes
(sorry for not posting for a while...been under the weather for the past few days)
My favorite photo printer just moved their Noritsu machine to another branch....aaaawwww!
This means it will take my prints looonger to process and I can't monitor my prints!
Can't help thinking, is it because it's been more than a month since I made my last prints from them? (been very, very busy the past month and I was not able to do ANY photography work) that this new branch has more orders now? :)
well, just want to blow off some steam.......

Netscape has a new browser (should we care?)
(...back to Tech blogging)
What? Still not using Mozilla FireFox?? Get it here.
And now, AOL has this new broswer (still in beta). One interesting feature aside from the now almost standard tabbed browsing feature, pop-up blocking, etc, is the ability to use either the FireFox or the IE engine.
My initial thoughts,... "bloatware".
To take a look at this new beta browser, check it at PCWorld here.

Had my first Cashflow game
(A non-Tech blog for now)...Had my first Cashflow game (Rich Dad/Poor Dad fame - http://www.richdad.com) last night. Initially, I was just planning to see the game in action and not actually play it yet (since I had plenty of other things to do that night). And so I would deeply like to thank kuya Jun & co. for being so accommodating.
Our group had 4 players and I completely finished the game well under 2 hours (I got out of the rat race and landed on my cheese). Not bad for a newbie. (yeah-yeah, it's called beginner's luck). :)
I highly recommend this game because it really teaches financial intelligence.
Oh I almost forgot to mention, it's held every Wednesday 7pm-12mn Mezzanine of Charterhouse Hotel in Makati. For F-R-E-E!!
